The Cervantes Fund For Social Justice is a non-profit corporation that began with a family’s dream of giving back to their community. Through the Cervantes Scholars Program they award $200 scholarships to deserving 5th grade students. The students receive the award until they graduate from high school. Once the student completes their Senior year of high school they receive a $500 scholarship. These scholarships are given to the students to help purchase school supplies. Scholarship recipients also receive a $50 birthday gift each year and a $50 present during the holidays. The Cervantes Fund also helps fund buses for field trips, and buy books for their local school library. Through generous donations they were able to donate several laptop computers for a school library media center being developed by school librarian Mrs. Castellanos. Stasya Boutique is a proud sponsor of the Cervantes Fund annual fundraiser. Through their annual fundraiser The Cervantes Fund brings together members of the community to raise funds to continue supporting current and future scholars. DonorsChoose.org makes it easy for anyone in the community to help a classroom in need. Find projects that inspire you and donate to help fulfill a classroom’s need. Public school teachers throughout the country submit their classroom project request, donors then contribute to fulfill the project, once the project is funded DonorsChoose.org purchases the items and ships them directly to the school. At Stasya we have helped fulfill projects for teachers in our community.
